Finally, Enemy Territory:Quake Wars has an official release date. Europe and Australia will ship on 28th Sept, whilst the U.S. ships 2nd Oct.
It’s not clear when everyone else in the world gets it, or when Australia became more important to gaming than, well, Asia – but it’s a start.
It’ll be interesting to see how ET:QW does and, given the delays in completion, how long a game can effectively be ‘highly anticipated’ for - especially with some huge titles due for release soon.
There will be further comment at a later date but for the moment I’ll leave you with a quote from the email I received earlier today :
“We could not have made this journey without you, our ETQW Closed Beta participants. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to all of you – your feedback has been truly invaluable and ETQW has become a much better game because of it. We are planning to release the ETQW demo several weeks before the ship date, so you will be able to sample the final product that you helped build.”
Yeah no worries. But if I’m not in the game credits you’re getting flamed in my new uber-blog.
